BIOGRAPHY
Paul is a mechanical engineer leading Newcomb & Boyd’s Durham office. He has been with the firm for 20 years and has helped the local office grow to 20 people since moving to the area 3 years ago. Newcomb & Boyd is a 99 year old firm with over 220 employees across Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina.
Paul has done work in the Triangle region throughout his career, including cleanrooms, cell therapy facilities, and laboratories. His BSL-3 laboratory design experience includes projects at Duke University, the University of North Carolina, and Emory University. Firm wide, Newcomb & Boyd has designed over 60 BSL-3 laboratories for clients including the CDC, Georgia Tech, and the US Department of Defense.
His career began as a co-operative student while he was enrolled at Georgia Tech. He is a registered professional engineer in North Carolina among other states and is a LEED accredited professional. He is a member of both his local ASHRAE chapter as well as NCHEA.
