BIOGRAPHY
Aishwarya Nagar is a Senior Analyst at the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security and a Research Associate in the Department of Environmental Health and Engineering at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She conducts applied research on improving US public health emergency preparedness and response, strengthening legal public health preparedness, addressing health misinformation in the US, building trust in public health, and countering disinformation on chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) threats. She is the lead author of the Practical Playbook for Addressing Health Rumors. Her past projects have focused on assessing One Health capacities for responding to transboundary zoonotic diseases, developing a global biorisk implementation and evaluation tool, and organizing bilateral biosecurity dialogues. She earned an MPH degree with a specialization in global health from the Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis, and a BS in biology with minors in religion and philosophy from Wake Forest University.
