BIOGRAPHY
Bob is Eagleson Institute’s lead instructor in the Global Biosafety Cabinet (BSC) Certification Training Program. He is also NSF International’s lead proctor for their BSC certifier’s accreditation program. After obtaining a degree in biology, Bob began his career at the Baker Company, where he conducted microbiology research and worked in new product development. His responsibilities included assuring that newly designed BSCs met the requirements for both the NSF and EN standards. During this time, he developed the BSC tracer gas test and the constricted access method for determining inflow velocity, which are now included in the NSF standard. His research led to publishing and presenting over 15 papers at conferences. For the last 25 years he has worked as a consultant, conducting training for the Eagleson Institute, serving on the NSF International 49 steering committee, and proctoring NSF exams worldwide. His work with Eagleson Institute has brought him to 22 countries for training, where he has learned strategies for adapting our program for different cultures and student needs.
