BIOGRAPHY
David is the Director of Safety and Biosafety Officer for the New York State Public Health Laboratory, also known as the Wadsworth Center, where he has been responsible for the development and implementation of environmental health and safety programs. David is also the Responsible Official for the Wadsworth Center’s select agent program. Prior to joining the Wadsworth Center in 2004, David worked for eight years in the pharmaceutical industry as an industrial hygienist and corporate biosafety officer at Schering-Plough Corporation.
David received his B.S. in Biology from Union College in 1994 and Master of Environmental Management degree in Biohazard Science from Duke University’s Nicholas School of the Environment in 1996. He is board certified in the comprehensive practice of industrial hygiene (CIH).
