Nick Karlowsky

BIOGRAPHY
Nick Karlowsky is Vice President at Filtech Inc. in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He has over 20 years of experience in controlled environment testing and the contamination control industry, supporting cleanrooms, sterile compounding facilities, and other critical environments in healthcare, pharmaceutical, nuclear, and other regulated manufacturing settings. His expertise includes cleanroom performance testing, technical consultation, and technician development.

Nick has been actively involved in multiple controlled environment professional communities, including the Controlled Environment Testing Association (CETA), where he has served as President (2017–2018) and held additional leadership roles, including Board Member and Program Chair for the CETA National Board of Testing. He also served as a Subject Matter Expert for nine years during the development of the Sterile Compounding Registered Cleanroom Professional examination, a Voting Member of technical working groups within the Institute of Environmental Sciences and Technology (IEST), and serves as an Alternate Representative, U.S. Technical Advisory Group 209 (ISO/TC 209).

Nick earned his Master’s degree in Business from the University of Pittsburgh. He is an NSF-accredited Class II Biological Safety Cabinet Field Certifier and a NEBB-certified Cleanrooms Professional.
