Dan Frasier is Principal and Director of Commissioning Services at Cornerstone Commissioning in Boxford, Massachusetts. He is a registered professional engineer and a Certified Commissioning Professional by the Building Commissioning Association. Dan grew up in a mechanical company that his great grandfather established in 1918. He has worked in the HVAC field for over 35 years in the areas of system installation, design, service and commissioning. Dan’s background in the lab animal industry started in the late 1990s when he researched HVAC issues in the industry and wrote the first three editions of the Phoenix Controls Vivarium Sourcebook.

Dan received his B.S. in Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics from the University of Minnesota and completed a Business Program at University of Oxford. He founded Cornerstone in 2001 to focus on vivarium and biocontainment facility commissioning. His firm has commissioned over 500 projects since then, one-third of which are biocontainment or vivarium spaces.
